Women’s Health Lecture to be held at Sutter Regional Medical Foundation
Expert physicians A.O. Rawal, M.D. and Samuel Santoro, D.O. will host a free lecture and discussion on Breast MRI and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) on Tuesday, June 5, 2007. The lecture starts at 6:00 p.m. at the Sutter Regional Medical Foundation, 100 Hospital Drive, 2nd floor, in Vallejo. Please call 707-434-2003 to RSVP; seating is limited.
Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer and is the second leading cause of cancer death in women. Dr. Rawal will discuss the American Cancer Society’s new exam guidelines and the importance of receiving annual breast MRI exams in addition to mammograms.
For decades, women have used hormone replacement therapy to relieve menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes. However, there is also concern about the possible adverse effects of HRT use on the health of menopausal women. Dr. Santoro, a board-certified OB/GYN, will lead an open discussion on essential new developments in HRT.
Free refreshments and hot hors d’oeuvres will be served at the lectures, and free women’s health tours will also be available. For more information call 707-434-2003 or visit www.srmf.org.
