Sutter Podiatrist to Work in Charity Clinic - September 9, 2008

FAIRFIELD - Dr. Nancy Kaplan, a podiatrist with Sutter Solano Regional Medical Group, will travel to Mexico today
and spend the weekend working at a charity clinic in Sinaloa, according to a Sutter press release.

The medical mission is in collaboration with LIGA International, a nonprofit organization that has provided free health care and education to Mexican communities since 1934.

Kaplan participated in several medical missions as amedical student, but it has been nearly a decade since her last trip to Mexico.

"I love working with third world countries for people who don't have medical care," Kaplan stated in the press release."It is very gratifying."
