Sutter’s Medical Director Retires

After serving Solano Regional Medical Group and Sutter Medical Foundation for the past seven years, Ronald Rushford, M.D., board-certified in family medicine and aviation medicine, has decided to retire from his position as Medical Director. Dr. Rushford, who has taken care of patients in Vacaville for 30 years, will continue to practice medicine part-time with Sutter Medical Foundation as a member of the Solano Regional Medical Group.

With Dr. Rushford's guidance and the unanimous support of Solano Regional Medical Group’s Board of Directors and Sutter Medical Foundation’s Senior Leadership Team, we’re pleased to announce Frederick Blair, M.D., OB/GYN, as his successor. Dr. Rushford has agreed to assist Dr. Blair with this transition over the next several weeks.

Dr. Rushford will continue to see patients in Sutter’s Vacaville Care Center at 770 Mason Street three days a week. On his days off he looks forward to spending more time with his children and grandchildren, as well enjoying his favorite hobbies—woodworking, growing orchids and bicycling. He also plans to remain very active in the Vacaville community and continue volunteering at the Vacaville Museum.
